Función Olfatoria
El tópico principal de mi investigación es el estudio de los factores que tienen influencia sobre la función olfatoria – culturales, ambientales y fisiológicos. Los proyectos que actualmente se encuentran en progreso son:
- Influencia de la contaminación del aire en la Ciudad de México sobre la función olfatoria, en colaboración con el Dr. Hans Distel, Universidad de Munich, Alemania, y la Dra. Margarita Martínez-Gómez, IIB-UAT.
- Aprendizaje olfativo temprano, mecanismos neurales involucrados en conejos recién nacidos.
- Comunicación olfativa en conejos adultos y en la relación madre-cría.
El segundo tópico realizado en colaboración con la Dra. Margarita Martínez, se refiere a la contribución de las relaciones entre hermanos de camada en el desarrollo de diferencias individuales tanto a nivel conductual, como fisiológico en conejos y gatos.
El estudio de los factores que tienen influencia sobre la función olfatoria – culturales, ambientales y fisiológicos (en humanos, conejos y gatos).
El estudio de las interacciones tempranas entre hermanos y su influencia en el desarrollo de diferencias individuales en conducta y fisiología (en conejos, gatos, ratas y ratones).
El estudio de la orientación en espacio y la conducta de búsqueda (en humanos, conejos y por simulación en sistemas artificiales).
